This one is definitely good for a laugh, a little change of pace via our friends at the Workbench. How many times will you see a 50 foot tall woman in a bikini? Absolutely moves Peoria up on my list of places to visit.

This year the ’shocking and immoral’ bikini reaches its 60th birthday–though the Wikipedia entry says they were first seen at least a year earlier and possibly even in ancient Roman art. Created in the aftermath of World War II by a French automobile engineer, the manufacturer of these outrageous swimsuits had to hire strippers because mainstream models refused to be photographed wearing them!
